Excellent letter, James! I like the idea I posted the other day of joining the "Society to stop continental Drift." Makes as much sense as "Stop Global Warming."

Pollute the atmosphere with sulphur compounds in order to enhance reflectance and therefore fight global warming. Lather, rinse and repeat every two or three years. Acid rain be hanged. I kid you not, this is a genuine suggestion by some scientists who think they are smarter than God. I saw it in the newspaper, along with an article that says the global warming caused by forest fires is canceled out by the reflectance resulting from smoke in the atmosphere. Message 23022606

James...re "global warming"....Have any of the leaders of this charge even talked with scientists regarding the Universe. (Nice Letter, BTW!!) My hubby bought a series called HyperSpace on DVD.... It is of the Universe and the vastness of the Universe. One of the segments is on our Sun. It states that every day, the Sun is getting hotter. And will, over the millions of centuries, eventually become so hot it will burn out, and will be no longer. shopping.discovery.com The Sun burning up has nothing to do with anything we are doing or not doing here on earth. It has everything with the life cycle of a Star/Sun. Since "global warming" is getting such a big play, wonder exactly why the proponents of it, like AlGore, have never said one thing about the Life cycle of our Sun, and for that matter, every Star in the Universe?
