It's amazing that out of all of the righty intelligentsia on SI not one has answered about what the republican plan for Iraq is.

They would rather pretend that they are saying something when they call someone a "San Francisco moonbat" or some other completely meaningless term. They are incapable of being substantive.

Other than lowering taxes (or eliminating them altogether, as with the estate tax) and getting "their" people elected so that they can pass out pork to their friends, they have no agenda. They pander to constituencies that do have agendas (e.g., "traditional" marriage, abortion) in order to get elected, but when you see Condie Rice witnessing a wedding ceremony between two gay men who were her friends/employees, then kissing them when it's over, you realize that those agendas, for many of them at least, are completely electorally driven and hypocritical. If a high ranking Democrat had done that, I suspect it would have been all over the right wing media for days--how anti-family the Democrats are, how they are destroying morality, blah blah blah.

What is the Republican plan for Iraq? Hmmm....

From what Mr. Bush said today, I think its "wait and see."

I can tell you what BUSH'S plan for Iraq is. It's to stay there until he's out of office, so he can blame the eventual defeat on the "lack of will" of the NEXT guy.

That's providing the "next guy" isn't another Nixon who'll feed another bunch of Americans into a hopeless quagmire for HIS ego.
