If the U.S. wants to select its Presidents based on "cosmetic" qualities, then actual SUBSTANCE or CAPABILITIES of DEMONSTRATED LEADERSHIP AND EXPERIENCE are shoved aside and become peripheral. To me, Al Gore demonstrates these sorts of qualities. Maybe there are others. I just don't see them right now. The Bush 43 Presidency has demonstrated: PRESIDENT AS PUPPET PRESIDENT AS CHEERLEADER PRESIDENT AS GUY YOU MIGHT WANT TO HAVE A COUPLE OF BEERS WITH (not me though) This is the sort of President that is ideal for a silent, behind the scenes power group that looks after its own needs and just uses the Presidency as a tool. It's a major step towards DICTATORSHIP with Dictator as Puppet. Namaste! Jim
