"Dell Inc. Tuesday pointed to its adoption of processors from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) for pushing it to US$677 million in profit for the third quarter..."

Why do they have to lie about this? We've been told that this couldn't happen...

Exactly. AMD missed on the profit line, Dell exceeded, as did Intel.

>> Dell beats estimates with AMD chip sales

Where do you see Dell saying that ? I see more mentions of Intel and Intel products than AMD.

To help you, in case you didn't read the release for yourself.

IBM led in blade server revenue share for the tenth consecutive quarter with 43.9 percent of the revenue and 38.0 percent of volume. During the quarter, IBM widened its leadership position over its nearest competitor, believed to be fueled by IBM's introduction of the "Cool Blue" power management technologies and the launch of AMD Opteron™ processor-based blades.
