MJ, currently the focus is on Hillary as the candidate to beat for the Democratic ticket. And the only person who comes close to giving Hillary a run for that ticket is Obama.

Yes indeed there is Mitt Romney as you point out. But for now he is "on the other side". Obama has to get past the Hillary hurdle first before he can think of others.

Chris talks about Gov. Richardson. He is a good candidate but not someone who would go very far as far as electability is concerned.

By the way, this thread certainly is open to discussing any Presidential candidate, Republican or Democrat.

I read somewhere that Obama is too much to the religious right on some issues. They were not explained but that said this was to be the objection of some more liberal persons
