". Had Iraquis used the removal of Hussein as an opportunity to form self-rule, as was largely expected, a miraculous emergence in the ME would have happened. "

You need to realize this was an amazingly stupid thing to expect, and I doubt it was "largely expected". Anyone with any knowledge of the region would have expected ethnic conflict and civil war, or perhaps the emergence of a new strong man (or all of the above). I'm not employed by the CIA, nor am I an expert in ME studies, but I have been saying this since before the war, and many many many MANY other knowledgeable people have said the same thing. The fact that the Necons had a foolish unrealistic dream for their Iraqi adventure does not make their irrational pipe dream the "largely expected" outcome- except by them, and you see where that got us, or maybe you don't.

You know NOTHING. You don't even know the first thing.

Republicans have LIED about the troops not wishing for reinforcements. It's the whack-a-mole video game version of war where towns are taken again and again and again because there are not enough troops to HOLD GROUND.

I do not expect you to understand this concept. I do not expect you to understand anything.

The PROFESSIONAL MILITARY wanted 500,000 troops. Their professional assessment based on actual history was squashed and pushed aside for the rantings of a madman named Rumsfeld and a degenerate named Cheney and a child named Bush. Bush fires Rumsfeld, Cheney is pushed aside (one can hope) and now Bush is musing that he wants another 20,000 troops for some mysterious last push.

He is short more than 200,000 troops. He is short equipment, supplies, housing, money, whatever. He is short.

The US Military is not a democracy but it is speaking out through Murtha. They said a year ago that it was time to REDEPLOY. The American public said it's time to REDEPLOY.

Democracy, aside from the grade school version that you think is reality, is not majority rules. It's majority rules with protection for minorities. Ask Maliki how much he cares for Sunnis and Baathists and Kurds in comparison with how much he cares for al Sadr's opinions.

Osama bin Laden never had a better friend than Republicans who veered away from Afghanistan, decided not to pursue him seriously, weren't thinking about him much anyway and protected his family from harm by the American Public after 911. Who is a better friend.

Iraq = Bush = Republican.

That is the PERMANENT EQUATION.

Take responsibility like the adult you're not...surprise us.
