I'm pro-choice; however, I understand the slippery slope created when respect for human life begins to erode. The question of when an "independent" viable life begins has yet to be answered, although most of us have our own opinion on that subject. In the Schiavo case, a woman's life was ended by U.S. courts while her family was forced to watch her die. That was an inhuman, unjust outcome and Santorum as always displayed the courage and wisdom of his convictions. Who amongst us would want some irresponsible judge deciding whether our child lives or dies?
