Do you think they would have preferred it to have been the whole of NYC or not? Simple question. Do you think their sources and technology will improve(with greatly enhanced destructive capability) in the future or not? What I think, is that we are going to witness events (sooner than later) that will make figuring debt to gnp ratios and great flowery debates over the benefits of divided government seem very trivial. The one chance we have is economic improvement in the shitholes these people live in, plus the "removal" of the fanatics beyond repair. Do you think they are going away by good will and magic?

Bet you thought Marxism was the 'wave of the future' 20 years ago or so....) You would have lost that bet(funny how we can be so far off by simple assumptions)...figured it to be doomed sooner or later by grossly ineffective economics....being born into conditions that spawn these types of radical ideologies is something I don't wish on anyone. Economic progress and a modicum of freedom tend to cut down on the number of volunteer suicide bombers. It's all moot anyway....I have Pelosi/Reed and divided government(not to mention a newly found strong urge to apply for a CCW permit) to save me now. No worries.
