How? Every bill the Democrats proposed got blocked. Every time they tried to attach a rider, that bill got voted down and only the bills with the riders stripped out got passed. Which led to the "I voted for it before I voted against it" the Republicans delighted in. Every bill Bush wanted passed, got passed. The number of troops sent in was decided by Rumsfeld, over the objections of the commanders. In fact, several generals got pushed out because they said we weren't sending enough. The administration got everything they wanted, and the Democrats got nothing, yet you think it was the fault of the Democrats. It's Clinton's fault... Al

Democrats stood for nothing but obstructionism. They never proposed any spending cuts, except those related to Iraq and the military. This even as they accused Rumsfeld of running a war on the cheap and denying combat armor to our troops. Meanwhile, the abuses at Abu Ghraib and those allegedly going on in Gitmo were being taken to the very extreme by those who stood to benefit the most politically. How much do you think that hurt the morale of our troops? How much impact do you think that had on our military commanders who are now pressured to do everything in a "politically correct" manner, despite the fact that war can never be fought in such a way? How often have the Dems pushed standards that they know can never be met by any administration, Republican or Democrat? You think about that for a minute.
