That's just a very smart thing to do. I signed with The Neptune Society. Very affordable, dignified and complete. For no additional cost, they will scatter ashes at sea (hence the name), or any other place you wish, as long as it's legal to do so. I have my fathers ashes. My mother wants to take them into her coffin when she dies. I checked with the mortuary where her burial insurance is and they will charge us to open a second grave site to allow her to do as she wishes. That's just pure greed on their part. I discussed this with my brother and we will just let mom believe that's what will happen. But, long ago, dad told all of us he would like to have his ashes scattered over Shadow Mountain Lake, where they owned property for many years. That's what bro and I will do after mom passes.
