In re-reading Camilla's reply to you, she only focuses on how PV was able to so quickly abscond with the money (the payee's account was at her bank so the funds were immediately available). Evidently the alleged check altering was not noticeable to her. To give her the benefit of the doubt, perhaps she routinely handles large checks and there was no reason to look closely at this particular one. I could find no reference to this incident on iHub.

In any event, I'm sure Camilla will eventually clear this up for us.
