The part that bothers me is Harper, telling us that his government would not be like the Liberals and talking about Free Votes in the house of parliament, and frankly this issue should have been a free vote. I think it is that important. Muzzling Conservative MP's is NOT what I was promised. A government that was more open and more accountable with MP's voting according to their consciences. What I seem to have is the same old same old. If I had wanted a Liberal Style government I would not have voted for Harpo of the Conservatives. Why wasn't this a free vote? Because harper was trying to buy votes in Quebec, so he decided to disallow dissension in the party. So he is going to lead a government that is more open, on days when it is convenient. He is going to allow free votes, when he cannot lose?
