You are right. Passing around scraps of toilet paper with numbers printed on them makes a lot more sense.

But seriously I think you are missing the point. It doesn't matter if we pass around metal lumps or use a payment chip imbedded under our skin. What matters is that the government is restricted to how much money they can print. And preferably whatever we are trading (lumps or bits) would be backed by something that represents true wealth, the labor of man.

<<I wonder when heinz gets his paycheck, does he receive shiny metal coins and when he travels does he only pay in shiny metal coins - how silly >>

... do you get paid in gm shares?

of course not.

btw, the GUDD times are here again, or, by your reckoning to be more sensible, SUDD time as well

'Right now it seems to me he is thriving in the very system he mocks - pathetic'

So true. And what is most amazing is the track record sucks too.. I'm sure you as well as I are aware of a ton of real estate investors and small biz entrepreneur's with little more than a high school education that have had incredible returns and growth in their wealth starting from nothing that would make these 'ivory tower' types who make their living via middleman fees shudder..
