Vista 64 bit is the way to go. We don’t think you can change your mind and activate 64 bit Vista if you purchased 32 bit which sucks big time, but that is what the big Vole decided.

That would be bad if true. I thought Vista would allow both 32b and 64b applications based on the hybrid functionality provided by AMD64(/Intel 64) ISA.
