<<....Saddam is not terrorizing and killing many people now>>

... no. lot more folks are now doing so, including nations with previous pretensions to nobility.

<<....He isn't paying Islamic Jihad terrorists to blow people up in Israel>>

... no. now they are doing so on own, with revenue earned from all around, including the newly activated poppy fields of Afganistan, as well as directly from the US treasury, via looted aid money from Iraq.

<<....Saddam's horror son Uday and brother Qusay are deceased>>

... big deal. Now the bad guys count grew exponentially, a truly big deal.

<<....Various soldiers have had a lot of live round training>>

... yeup. The guys needed know not to sign up again. The guys not needed got trained for global operations, and know they are effectively invincible.

<<....Potential opponents such as Libya, Syria, N. Korea, China, Iran have been given military cultural lessons for make benefit they not cause too much trouble>>

... you think so? you are ignorant of reality and not mindful of the truth.

<<....Predators and lots of military technology has had real-time testing>>

... gee, could have been done cheaper, and in any case, shown to be totally inaffective in any practicle way against the committed who operate the old fashioned way.

<<....The price of oil is high, so profits for Exxon, etc are very high>>

... and how is that good? do you have a calculator?

<<....It has kept the public distracted from other political shenanigans>>

... and so they slip into habeas corpus-less fascism, with out reached arms, in a hurry, and with a smile.

<<....Saddam has been paid back for saying 911 was a jolly good show even though it was nothing to do with him [he said]>>

... the 911 guys strategy is working, in case you did not detect. You are the reason we are all going down the gurgler, unable to seek truth from the facts, and save souls.

<<....The WMDs have been eliminated - there weren't any [no news there really]>>

... you are of course joking? the WMD issue is more dire than ever, as a direct result of Bushie moves.

<<....The fly-paper theory has worked brilliantly = fighting them in Fallujah means Al Q isn't rampaging in jihad down the streets of Kansas [just kidding]>>

... it now takes 40 minutes of senseless safety inspection to get on a simple 1 hour long air journey, and we are only waiting to have one of the security checking lines to be blown up before all have to line up at the parameter fence 5 miles away from airport.

You just do not see, think, and know, do you?

<<Whether such achievements were worth the cost is not something I'm giving an answer to>>

... and here I thought you have an answer for everything. Now you just demonstrated you know nothing at all.

The 'great sucess of invasion of Iraq'? US lost political goodwill around the whole world. This put the US much closer to its natural size. You won't get that political capital again.

The spreading of the bombings into London and Madrid was a direct result of that 'success'. The world is much less safe than it was in 2002.
