ADVERTISEMENT Terrance Nylander head of Wataire's Research and Development Department reported to the company that the new model 4005 countertop water generator is entering 24/7 reliability testing and has incorporated several new design features to improve reliability. "Many of the new ideas we are building into this new design will be incorporated into our patent application as they have significant water quality and equipment reliability benefits." "The recent CI-2500 commercial generator delivered to the US Navy for utilization in the Horn of Africa has reached Djibouti and is to be commissioned for testing in Manda Bay, Kenya. The company anticipates solid performance of the equipment in this location. Wataire's Research and Development scientist Mr. Roland Wahlgren will also provide a training seminar to the US NAVY technicians on location in Africa the first week of February. While on location Mr. Wahlgren will also conduct extensive field testing and monitoring of the Water generator during his stay in Africa. Wataire Industries recently engaged an engineer to assist Mr. Nylander to work on preliminary design for a free standing wind-powered water generator. This system will have the ability to drive the refrigeration unit of the water generator and store water to be purified for consumption. The company anticipates to have an operating prototype within ninety days.
