"I find that more self-serving than accurate."

Conservatives have been whacked silly with bad news lately- it's not surprising they would cling like dying men to a life raft, to any bit of "good" news they can find, even if it has to be massaged to be good news.

Savor their desperation. That stupid pendulum will swing back in about 8 years or so.

Re. your semi-clever nitpicking on a couple words in my post:

"May" means probably and is not an indicator of bias.

"truly" - I see you've pounced on that. Fine, kindly remove the "truly" from my post and the meaning of my post remains unchanged and your points about it go away.

The largest religious group in the US are the Roman Catholics, largely known as liberals. Jews are largely known as liberals; a small group.

Most Catholics are not liberal. The same is mostly true of religious Jews. Of course, a majority of Jews in our country aren't religious.

Churches that require tithing are both more religious and more generous?

I don't think any churches require tithing.

I find that more self-serving than accurate.

This puzzled me for a time. Then I realilzed you think I am a religious person boasting about myself. What a terrible mistake. I was raised in a religious home but have spent most of my adult life moving away from religion. Its only been in the past few years I've realized the mistake. I'm pro-religion rather than religious. Let me state it better, the religious people I meant to defend - I think most of them are better than me.
