The focus must be on the whole region, not just Iraq. To simplify the situation is an error.

The idea that training more Iraqi soldiers will stop the civil war is just another foolish case of faith based strategy.

Only a total Dumbyass idiot will believe in such a "strategy". The trained Iraqi soldiers are more likely to (a) join a Sunni/Shia/Kurdish militia and fight in the civil war or (b) join the insurgency and fight the American troops that trained them or (c) both (a) and (b). It is naive to think that they will somehow stabilize Iraq and make the place livable.

The only way the goal could have been possibly met was if he had US troops in the mutliple hundreds of thousands, as Gen. Shinseki had described.

Now it is too late. We cannot have even one more US soldier die just because it will save Dumbyass' butt for one more day. We have to bring back the troops and start war crimes trials for the Dumbyass, Cheney, Rummy and other regressive crooks.
