Let me spell it out for you, slowly. Try to follow along.

Go as slow as you need to. Try not to drool.

Knowing that the die size is ~125mm^2, that means Caris' prior expectation was: 187mm^2.

Now, that is larger than the 90nm 183mm^2 part, so I conclude that the Caris analyst is "on crack".


How about concluding that your 125 mm^2 guess is way too big?

As an example, If the earlier estimate was 130 mm^2 and the die came in at 100 mm^2 then the 30% would be reasonable
