If there's nothing held over their head, users would never seek rehab.

I disagree I have seen a lot of friends do interventions for friends that sometimes successfully kicked their demons.

I just wonder how legalization would affect demand - it would have to raise it, drmatically I fear.

I really have no idea but the current system isn't working. Perhaps harsh sentences such as the death penalty instead of legalization might work. It certainly would be cheaper than incarcerating people that are out of control.

I don't think so.

It would if the parents were forced to go to a designated area to have their hit. A lot of kids get started on drugs by finding their parents stash.

The best way to keep kids off drugs is to provide alternatives.
