I believe in controlling death as much as possible. Of course, one can hardly plan for some bastard sticking a knife in you over and over again. And if I was carrying cyanide I would probably bite it by accident... Speaking of terror...one of the most horrific deaths took place in Canada several years back. A trainer for law enforcement (RCMP, I think) was demonstrating the safety features of special glass in a highrise where he conducted a course. He had done this thousands of times. He would run into this transparent glass with a body check to demonstrate. Only this time the glass gave way and he plummeted twenty stories or so to the concrete. The greatest pain in this (I imagine) would be the knowledge that it was self caused while one was being smug...OUCH!
