A little early for this-----however here goes.

It isn't a question of whether America is ready for a woman----there is no doubt that the right woman could win.

Ferraro lost not because of her being a woman, she lost because of her personality, ideas that offended many people.

Perhaps, the one woman who could have been President of the USA was Jeanne Kirkpatrick----she had the presence, the eveness in personality and thought that makes a leader.

The Democrats have Hilary unless another woman appears on the scene.

The Republicans have Elizabeth Dole and Condoleeza Rice. Elizabeth Dole has been methodically doing her work and building credentials while Condoleeza has been at the fore front of the national and international scene.

The criticisms are fairly well known-------Elizabeth gets associated with Bob Dole------therefore many people think of Elizabeth as Bob Dole's wife------without thinking of her numerous credentials.

Rice is the most intelligent woman to come on our National scene including all of the President's wives------both she and Jeanne Kirkpatrick share that quality of great statesman that we admire and need as leaders.

Because of Rice's association with Iraq and President Bush she would have a very tough campaign as the sleaze mongers attack her for that association. Would she want to do that when perhaps she could serve in another way?

Now to Hilary, if anyone thinks Hilary is not going to run I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.

Being of the fair sex, I received a letter from Hilary targeting women in 2005 in regard to her running for the Presidency. I read it and threw it in the paper shredder. Why? Because she was retreading the same garbage that women were putting out in the 1970's and 1980's---offering nothing new and current for the times.

If Hilary wants to run, the best thing she could do is to file the divorce papers from Bill now before she announces.
That would assure the women's vote from all sectors----left, middle and right.

Would she do that----doubtful, she has been a large part of the power behind Bill Clinton since the Arkansas days----hence her identity is closely tied to his identity and to the power that they both have structured.
