I hope he shows some strength as SecDef but do not expect it.

You know how you make it to the top from the bottom at an organization like the CIA? You never commit yourself. You go to the meetings, listen, and go with the consensus. NEVER stick your neck out. Same way Powell made it to the top at DOD.
