Obama is one of the few Democratic candidates who can win a lot of the evangelical vote (without pandering to these folks like McCain is). Did you see how Paster Rick Warren recently invited Obama (and Brownback) to his Saddleback Church in California...Warren is at the heart of the Mega Church movement and he really likes Obama (who was well received)...Warren is so influential as he is the author of the runaway bestseller The Purpose Driven Life (which has sold over well over 20 million copies). Obama is the only Democratic candidate that he has started to warm up to...Hmmm...what does that tell you...?

Obama has amazing crossover appeal...I know lifelong Republicans in Illinois who voted for Obama as their Senator -- he was the first Democrat they ever voted for...Many of these folks out in the heartland would vote for Obama for President (and he is probably the only Democratic candidate they could ever support)...They yearn for a different kind of candidate who has not spent much time in Washington...Someone who can truly work to unite the country and solve problems.

btw, in the last part of Hardball today they are talking about Obama -- how can they ignore him...?
