I'm really curious how AMD is doing at Dell. I just saw a Dell ad for a c2d and there was no "da dum da ding". The "playing field" theorists have a good testbed. I seem to be seeing Dell in a new light, maybe I was blinded before. Interesting times.

Edit, A notebook for 750, seems cheap, probably needy for upgrading.

KPF - I agree with much that you say. Dual core chips are really ahead of time. I had virtualization at IBM in 1983 (VM) so it's a hardly a new concept. I think selling platforms, ideas, and dual core is a way to keep the industry hopping (demand)

My son's continue to like PC games the best.. they have Xbox, pswhatevers, cubes etc... neither has requested a media pc yet.. so I do gauge the demand for pcs on them in a way. But hopefully number 1 son will study more and play less :) having him closeby (I would have preferred he go farther away) is good and bad.

Austin weather is nice right now :)
