you'll notice the final sentence is about how despite his early prominence, kennedy lost to carter in the 1980 primary

And without that, they lose, especially if Kerry can convince the country that all the bombs thrown at him in the past were total BS.

Why would the GOP fear Kerry when they have beaten him very effectively with their proxy folks; the SwiftBoaters.

The GOP is still recovering from the shock of their Nov 2006 "thumping" defeat. The neocons have deserted the Repubs and people like Jim Baker has turned against them also. So I would imagine that they would fear their own folks first.

Seasoned followers of politics do not at all doubt about Obama's and Hillary's intentions for seeking the Democratic party's nomination. Both of then are in no hurry like others are.
