Say what? <the Chinese have never been interested in world domination.> If the average Chinese bloke checks his Y chromosome, a surprising number of them will find something akin to Genghis Khan, who you have heard of.

Also, domination takes some wherewithal and some benefits need to be expected.

Also, there's more than one way to skin a cat. World domination can come from other methods than geopolitical power. Breeding is a highly successful method of domination. One of our daughters is defactoized to a descendant of Genghis whose father escaped China to Hong Kong by swimming for it [more than once, before success] then making his way to NZ [I guess descendant]. Our daughter was unable to live and work in London, despite various military honours by ancestors from there, building the empire and protecting it and delivering profits to it. Aaron could go there being a very bright computer geek. So he Trojan-horsed in, with her tagging along. Quite ironic really, I think.

I like the idea of tradable citizenships so property is correctly allocated. The current serfdom rules of communal property including oneself under which we all live are unfit for human consumption, though humans almost all think it's excellent. Like budgies loving their cage - which they do.

I find it quite ironic that she is rejected but he is A+. They say no good deed goes unpunished. My ancestors worked and fought and created civilization, only to have their descendants usurped by, absurdly, swarms of Moslems sworn to the overthrow and destruction of the infidels of the United Kingdom.

I would not be certain that the USA would not likewise vote for their own poverty and self-destruction. India has voted itself poor for over half a century. NZ is voting itself down the gurgler.

But your point was really outright military domination. And yes, China seems more culturally attuned to building walls to keep barbarians OUT than to building invading armies bent on genocide. But it is a big place, so there was obviously quite a lot of empire building for the time. The Roman Empire was comparable in size.

It has been centuries since China was ascendant enough to even think about worldwide empire. Give them time. Megalomaniacs are in the DNA. There are umpty million little emperor males resulting from female infanticide/and foetus killing and they might do all sorts of odd things, such as looking for girlfriends further afield, which is a traditional interest of young males in over-flowing communities = conquest = get the girls and territory.

History isn't over yet.

<<world domination>>

... is impossible, firstly; and exhausting work, secondly; also thankless, to boot.
