>>it's just that Catface is imho a court-case play...

Hey! It was you who said it was a joke, not me. I don't consider it a laughing matter at all. The issues involved are far more interesting than that to me. And my interest extends well beyond my share-holding.

The are four protagonists here,

1. The people whose self-interest will be disturbed by a mine.

2. The greens who believe a mine would spoil the view.

3. The indigenous Ahousaht on whose traditional lands the deposit lies.

4. The owner of the mineral rights.

In the background there is the law which has always explicitly permitted mining in the area.

Apparently you believe that the rights of 1 and 2 are so strong that if 3 and 4 proceed in harmony they would be indulging in "court house" play. However, 3 and 4 do not need a court house play; they are acting within the law.

So if 1 and 2 make it a court house play and succeed in stopping the mine. Should there not be compensation for both 3 and 4. Shouldn't the Ahousaht be compensated if they are forbidden from developing the natural wealth of their land ? What about Native logging in Clayoquot ?

.

It's ironic in a way that you should see Catface taking so loong before it is settled. This month will bring me so close to becoming octogenarian that i find myself only interested in plays I see as short term ! . That (only) is why I haven't looked at exploration plays like Freewest.

The other specs I am playing are; RNG and their warrants, LSG.T (Lake Shore @ Timmins), LYM.v (Lysander in BC), CHD.T (Chariot, because of RNG's interest), YZC (Yukon Zinc),& MR (Metallica warrants). I'm expecting positive developments in the short term from each of them.
