You admit the consequences of global warming could be pretty significant but then you think the cost to prevent it [reordering the economy] don't justify it. Its such ridiculous logic its hard to know how to respond. The logic is normal cost benefit logic. There are many things that could have very significant negative impacts on us. If we reordered our whole economy to deal with each one pretty soon we wouldn't have much of an economy left. You have to consider not just the possible consequences, but the costs. Beyond that you also have to consider the probabilities, and the ability to do something about the problem. Failing to consider all these things is likely to lead to an irrational response.
