ps: I bought a generator last year and keep 10 gal of gasoline on hand. Since that purchase we have not had a bad storm nor lost electricity. The secret is to be prepared then mother nature goes someplace else.

Good post Karen...

OUR power came back on around 6:00.....and we wouldn't have know it if the garbage disposal hadn't started working. We were curious for a few seconds and asked.........what is that strange noise? LOL

It came back on just as we were getting ready to sit down to a lovely meal of stove top chicken pattie parmesan. Somehow I think it would have tasted better without power, but after six days, I'm not complaining.
