I also think that at this stage of the game, lets stop pretending they have an elected government that is trying to bring the country together.

No pretending involved in that thought. Sure there are factions within the government. It would be pretending or lying, or a sign of ignorance if we said that they have a stable unified government that's showing great progress, or if we said the government doesn't have severe problems.
