the process for limiting wages that is sketchy. Actually, a progressive income tax both lowers the pressure for massive wage increases and provides revenue to pay for Bush Jr.'s deficits. TP

Capping works for the NFL; why can't it work for baseball. It could work in all popular sports. And the salaries of pro athletes doesn't need to exceed something like $200k per year. Plenty of athletes will pursue the career at that pay level. You don't have to convince me. They lost me when A-Rod got $26 million. A-Rod would have to hit grand slams for the rest of his career to justify that kind of salary IMO. It's the process for limiting wages that is sketchy. Aside from a federal government mandate I can't think of a good process. How did the NFL get to their setup?
