Actually, a progressive income tax both lowers the pressure for massive wage increases and provides revenue to pay for Bush Jr.'s deficits.

You don't have to convince me. They lost me when A-Rod got $26 million. A-Rod would have to hit grand slams for the rest of his career to justify that kind of salary IMO.

It's the process for limiting wages that is sketchy. Aside from a federal government mandate I can't think of a good process.
