You would expect that kind of article from a Republican. The writer is actually being harder on Obama than I would expect.

Writer as self described by the writer-------"I'm an old-fashioned Joe Kleinish Clintonian self-hating Dem. But I'm not swooning until I hear Obama to tell Democrats something they maybe don't want to hear. Did I miss it?"

Obama does have a lot of amazement about who he is and how he got to where he is and what he can do about the world.

This is the same kind of amazement that I actually sense about him-------its almost like pinch me, I am dreaming---how did I get from point A to B. Think he is struggling with t he existential feelings of existence.

He is 45 and going through that idealistic "change the world age". It happens------prime time for the "fire in the belly" that politicians describe.

He must now stop introducing himself and dwelling on his background. Dead parents can't help him win an election nor his connection with Kenya. Kenya does not vote in our elections.

His connection with Hawaii can help---------as people there will vote. Hawaii is our 51st State.
