"Bush hasn't made a single Iraqi strap bombs on himself and kill 10-50 Iraqi peasants in the local marketplace. The bomber (and his handlers) are responsible for the bomb...."

Whether you intended to or not, those comments suggest you see no relationship between Bush and his invasion, and the violence in Iraq.

The first sentence (by me) does not imply your conclusion.

For example there is a relationship between the US leaving Vietnam and the subsequent rise of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. I don't blame the US for the 2 million Cambodians killed by the Khmer Rouge - that responsibility lies with Pol Pot and his decision of what to do when he came to power.

In the same way there is a relationship between the Bush led removal of Saddam's regime and the subsequent Iraqi on Iraqi violence, but I don't hold G Bush responsible for Iraqis killing each other. That responsibility lies with the killers and their leadership.
