I used apples for many years before I moved here. I'd go take the rotten apples from the orchard (they were happy) and I'd have piles of apples (big ones) within 50 feet of my back door along with a salt block. Sometimes there would be 10-15 deer out there - it was cool.

<<Hey Ken, run by Tractor Supply and pick up a 50lb bag of deer corn ($5) and put out a couple pounds a night and you'll be able to watch them around dusk!>>

When I first moved here I had some pheasants in my back 3 acres. I went down to the farm and brought back some shelled corn. No pheasants but 36 deer in my back yard.

I've been putting out acorns, corn and birdseed this winter. Squirrels eat the birdseed, crows eat the nuts and jays eat the corn.

Nope, won't do that. The covenants for the town home area I live in are strictly against feeding the wild life. Years ago, a lady just a few doors from me had a pack of racoons literally move into her attic. She thought that was real cute, until she couldn't stand the smell in her house from all the coon poop in the attic. They had to get rid of nearly everything in the house, re-carpet and paint. At the same time she was feeding the red foxes at her front door, until one of them bit her. Wild animals are just that. I'll enjoy them when they trot through, but I won't feed them.

Do you think we have any deer in Atlanta?
