I would say that being effective in the fight has to count, as well. In that regard, I still struggle with the Administration's record.

I can understand... but mistakes are made in all wars, decisions have to be made on the spot and without the benefit of 20/20 hindsight... I can't fault Bush the way so many others do so easily, I believe history will prove he was right... remember that in 1938 Churchill was made a laughing stock for warning everyone about hitler, but he was right from the beginning, and at the end of the war he was praised as a man with vision... we're now very much once again living in 1938 and once again the same old game of "kill the messenger" is still very much in vogue... Bush may not be as articulate with language, nor as comfortable with conveying a message, but he is still the messenger and the message has still not been heard... sadly enough, I suspect it will take a nuclear blast over one or more of our own cities before people finally get the message...
