RMF...."I think you summed up the REASON we need to avoid making blunders like we did in Iraq in that one phrase. This isn't 1400 years ago or even 40 years ago. Today, just ONE person with one vial of a biological weapon could wipe out half our country. ONE person with a small nuclear device could wipe out 500,000. I think 9/11, Madrid and those Middle Class Muslim men in London proved that just fighting them over THERE isn't necessarily going to keep us safe over HERE. Our screwup in Iraq hasn't hurt the Fundamentalists in the Middle East. It's strengthened them. They've gained power in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Indonesia and many other countries. Know what RMF... the problem is that Bush did not hit islamists with a sledge hammer blow, he insisted on playing fair instead of delivering to radical islam a sledge hammer blow that would resonate throughout the muslim world, a sledge hammer blow that the world of islam would understand that they have lost and must change. The free and civilized world IMO must deal with radical islam the same as they deal with us...REMEMBER 9/11....anything less would be a sign of weakness from the free and civilized world...look at the recent past and how we the free and civilized world dealt with muslim atrocities... we acted like a bunch of candy asses...and still are acting this way..the world of islam MUST be shown in no uncertain way what will happen to them if they continue with their slaughter of innocent infidel people. Ya RMF we need to use the BIGGEST sledge hammer we have and deliver a blow to the world of islam that will never be forgotten. Before they do it to us and IMO they will given the opportunity. It is not who is right in war it is who is left.
