I hit a patch of ice in the late afternoon. Had my husband not been there, I would have never thought to pack my knee in snow to reduce the swelling as well as the pain.

When I got back home, I had to have the tendons repaired. I found out many years later that I have MDI (multi directional instability) which I passed on to my daughter. She's lucky to have it noticed so early on. She can do strengthening exercises to keep the joints from hyper extending and tearing up the underlying tissue and muscle.
