This is awful, although not totally unexpected. I hate the thought of mental health screenings for teens. As Bill Cosby said, 'All teenagers are brain damaged'. Every child needs to feel that they have safe haven in their home, they need to be touched regularly both physically and emotionally by significant care takers; and, they need to have competent care while they are developing. Most importantly they need to feel that they are important and that they have a belongingness. In the mean time teens need to venture and test the known to find their individuality. Healthy loving families know what a struggle this is. But, we have sacrificed core family traditions and values in support of the new age agenda of anything that should be tolerated must also be endorsed in the mainstream. This doesn't seem to be working out to well for developing children.
