Some in the future would say "Saddam was offered as Qurbani to God" (Qurbani = sacrifice).

Maybe he was.

Or maybe it's because the moon appears to rise at different times in different places, not to mention the fact that different imams make different judgments about the stage of the moon, so Muslim holidays begin at different times in different places.

Or maybe it's because it takes a human being maybe 10 to 20 minutes to finally die after the neck is broken from a dropped hanging from a gallows, so when is the moment of death? The moment the neck is broken, or the moment his brain waves stopped?

All I know is that Baghdad looked pitch dark on TV when they said that he was hanged.

Also, he apparently was not hanged during the Hajj.
