But I don't buy the idea that peaceful people won't be attacked by the violent.

My suggestion to young people who want to remain peaceful is for them to get into a good university. Study hard. Get good grades. Get a good job. Maybe then they could live in a nice neighborhood and stay away from violent people.

There is no punch line here. I am serious.

You know Mq, we probably do agree much more than we disagree.... Except of course, for the last couple of your paragraphs! For all sorts of reasons....

And BTW, the paragraph you pulled out is the very one that made me post the article..... Too many people think that they are "pacifists" today, and in fact, they are the kind of "peace activist" that you noted in the article. They are what I think of when I see Cindy Sheehan... good for not much.
