There were legal bio sales made to Universities in Iraq for "research". It was later learned that they used it for weapons. That is how the transactions transpired between labs in the US and Iraq Universities.

How do you know he didn't?

I didn't say he didn't. I know that I don't know whether we sold Iraq chemical weapons or not. How would I know? But the fact that Saddam never brought it up makes me skeptical - it would have been embarrassing for him to point out that the US sold him the poison gas he used on the Kurds. He didn't. Ergo, we probably didn't sell it to him.

Some reading about the Reagan administration's involvement in the arming of Iraq during the 1980s. Some of the same players in the current invasion of Iraq were helping Saddam defeat Iran. The best document that clearly states what we did militarily to help Saddam I can't find......it was from Congressional hearings held in Wisconsin during the early 1990s. If I find it, I'll post it.

During the 1980s the US [Reagan et al] were Saddams' best friends. In fact, no one was more shocked than Saddam when the US attacked him after he invaded Kuwait:

Yeah, yeah, the question was "Why do you think poison gas was supplied to Iraq by the US in the 1980s? Just makes sense to you, or you have some other evidence?"

If he has no evidence, just say so. If there is some evidence, lets hear it.

"How do you know he didn't? "

How do we know Saddam has WMD's?

...we've got the receipts!
