Even though my dad played football with Jerry Ford, my mother actually knew him better. Her mother was close friends with the Ford Family, so she grew up knowing him. When Jerry met Betty, she was divorced, and had actually been a dancer with Martha Graham. I think she did some modeling too. When they were digging around GR when Jerry Ford was to become V,Pres. my mother was so afraid that the truth would come out that Betty had been divorced..Times have changed, havne't they? marthagraham.org
