i'm pretty sure you are incorrect...from what i've seen, if the deal is not approved, the shares you are referring to become worthless, just like the warrants...the only people who receive their investment back are the holders of the common shares which were sold as part of the blank check offering units

i agree there seems to be a little inconsistency in some of this, but i think the discussion here is turning far too machiavellian <g>

then again, people can find a conspiracy in almost anything
