the hole in that theory is that such machines can be created, and on the timeline (one century) you specify. to date, such AI has been created many times in science fiction, but doesn't exist in reality. they can't even develop decent machine translation.

back in 1996 Gordon Moore (of Intel fame) predicted all translation would be done by machines by the year 2000. what a joke.
