"Iraq was responsible (via proxies) in some of those deaths at the hands of terrorists."

Where is the source for the above?

"Combined with Saddam's past use of WMD's...." Thanks to US governmental help. Or have you forgotten Rumsfeld's picture with Saddam.

"intentions of developing WMD's again in the future, that made him a threat worthy of removal."
Saddam was under control vis á vis WMDs prior to the war. Bush II went to war for oil and profit for his greedy buddies, nothing more. All the talk about democracy in Iraq and then the ME via a domino effect(shades of Viet Nam reversed) was smoke and mirrors after the WMDs were not found. It's about oil and greed.

Saddam was worthy of removal, but at a price of more than 3000 US dead, 10s of thousands US wounded, 100s of thousands Iraqi dead, who knows how many Iraqi wounded, 2 million displaced Iraqis, 300 billion dollars down the drain, Osama at large, and terrorist cells stronger and more numerous than ever?

Saddam, a former US puppet, was executed by a quasi US puppet. The US government couldn't even figure out how to convince their puppet to use Saddam's execution to their mutual advantage. The result will be that the US government will probably end up supporting the Sunni Muslims in Iraq.
