You are jaded. In the first 20 days the Democrats will create history for the American people.
Now you just join the ranks of losers. Pffftttt.

"All they'll do is focus on Iraq and making sure that it continues to be a millstone around the president's neck."

Maybe. But you might be surprised. The focus on sticking it to the opposition president is a rather new phenomena. The Republicans brought it to a high art under Clinton, but that wasn't typical.

Don't you think President doofus putting 20,000 more troops in Iraq will keep the focus on Iraq? Isn't President doofus just making the "millstone" 20,000 troops HEAVIER? Shouldn't the focus BE on Iraq? It's costing us 9 billion a WEEK!

Why? Because (a) Iraq is what got the Dems elected in the first place, and (b) out-of-control spending continues to be blamed on Bush, and I don't expect the Dems to change that perception.

You are making a mistake if you believe Iraq is the only thing that got the Dems elected. And you make it sound like Bush had little to do with the out of control spending. How are you able to think that way?
