I did see it Rick. Thanks. I briefly visited the site that Chris suggested and saw the article critical of scientists who hype supplements.
By the way, Ames was a principle in the development of Juvenon. I don't know if he is part of the hype like Andrew Weil or not. Here are his comments from a Newsweek article in January '06:
"The pill is sold by Juvenon [a company Ames formed to license the combination of cell-rejuvenating supplements]. But I won't take money from the company. It all goes to clinical trials. I didn't feel very different after taking the pill. But I am a pretty spry 77. We've just completed a human trial now. The data hasn't been released publicly yet, but I can tell you: it was successful."
I have not been able to find the results of the study that Ames mentioned. I have e-mailed the company a couple of times and they say that a planned study, announced January '06 is still delayed. No reasons were given. Curious.
