What was the murder rate in Iraq under Saddam prior to our ousting him compared to the murder rate since?

I don't know, but it doesn't matter to me, anyway. We cannot control the actions of thugs, but we also should not stand by when governments engage in genocide of their own citizens.

I see a profound difference, legally, ethically, and philosophically, between government-sanctioned genocide and sectarian murder carried out by individuals seeking power outside the democratic process.

As does international law.

How about you? Do you care about international law?

Or is it only about sectarian sniping at the current administration? If Clinton were in power (either one) would you blame them for an individual Iraqi killing another individual Iraqi for personal reasons?

P.S. Saddam can never be put back into power, so tough.
