Let's add another requirement to the New York Restaurants.

Require menu's to reveal the kinds of fat-----believe it is soy that is being favored by the government.

Soy is a major allergan for people of non-oriental extraction---a large part of the population. And, particularly for women as they enter menopause----i.e. for women mostly over 40.

Remember that soy is now being grown in the USA------so perhaps this is another way of supporting those who farm soy.

We have the word-police so now we will have the food-police determining what will be in our recipes.

The good news is that the pendulum will eventually swing back as the medical community determines we aren't getting enough fat to fuel our cholesterol needs.

Capitalism has failed many times.

Where? Seems to me when someone fails in a business, capitalism is working as it should. In government, you're stuck with the bad idea.

We don't refuse services to those who abuse them? You just posted why socialism fails. "No one else gives a shit, why should I".

I find it difficult to see a significant difference in your justification for banning trans fat cooking oil yet not banning cigarettes. What benefits do you get from cigarettes?

Anyway, my point is, everything is fine if you get to decide how to run the system. Will you be just as content following along my recommendations if I was the one making the rules?

This is why I support the ban on restaurants using trans fats, but not on selling tobacco and alcohol -- despite the harm they cause, people do actually derive distinct benefit from those.

KFC went to no trans fat a while back. So I decided to test it out and see how the food tasted. The food tastes less greasy; much better. Probably still not good for you but there wasn't that weird aftertaste you get with fast foods.

Did you ever see the documentary on McDonald's? A real eye opener.

No means testing?

How about I just get a doctor to sign a worthless piece of paper saying I'm disabled. Where's my money?
